Group Holds Press Conference Against SaharaReporters Over Exposing Corruption

Abubakar Malami, Nigeria’s Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, in a desperate move to launder his image, has allegedly sponsored a group to hold a press conference against SaharaReporters over expository reports about his corruption-fuelled lifestyle.
Malami, a little known lawyer before his appointment in 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari, is today among the richest men in Nigeria with a source of wealth inexplicable.
The group, Equity and Justice in Politics and Governance, on Tuesday asked the Nigerian Government to sanction and regulate the New York-based news agency.
Struggling to read from a prepared text, one Musa Moses Attah, National Coordinator of the group, said Malami was a “fine gentleman” with “sterling qualities”.
He said, “We at the Equity and Justice in Politics and Governance Movement have watched with keen interest how an online medium, SaharaReportes, decide to throw caution into the wind to cast aspersion and assassinate the character of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and other government officials.
“Ordinarily for us at Equity and Justice for Politics in Governance Movement, we would not have dabbled into the controversy raised by SaharaReporters but we felt we cannot keep quiet because the allegations raised border on one of the key personalities in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The AGF is a fine gentleman who has performed his duty credibly well since his appointment into office in 2015 and because of his sterling qualities and performances, President Buhari found him worthy of reappointment.”
Instead of responding to the allegations against him, Malami on Monday also threatened to sue SaharaReporters within seven days if the online news publication failed to retract stories published on him on July 10, 11, and 12, 2020.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Umar Gwandu, Malami said that publications by SaharaReporters on each of the dates mentioned had caused him trauma and damaged his reputation before right-thinking persons across the world.
The administration of President Buhari has failed to investigate corrupt actors within the government despite many expositions by SaharaReporters and calls from Nigerians.

FG Agrees To Pay Some Private School Teachers Salary – Yomi Otubela

The President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in Nigeria, Yomi Otubela has revealed to the general public on Monday, 13th July 2020 that the Federal government has agreed upon dialogue to pay the salaries of Private School Teachers that are being owed by their school management and are in big distress since the lockdown started in March amidst the Covid19 pandemic.
As some school management insists they cannot pay salaries since they have also not made money by way of school fees since there is nothing being done so far in school, their employees have been on the receiving end of all the bankruptcy being faced as a result of the shut down of schools.
“Otubela made this statement known while speaking on TVC News on the early hours of Monday, July 13, 2020. Otubela said the Association forwarded a proposal to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, for the government to assist them by going out of their way and obligations to pay the salaries of some private school teachers in the country, and they are glad to announce that approval has been granted to the proposal by the Federal Executive Council for the implementation.
”We have written to the Federal government to understand that these teachers are teaching Nigerian children and that they need to keep them and their families together during the lockdown.
“So the Federal government has listened to our request. We requested that the teachers salaries in private schools should be taken over by the government during the months of the lockdown. We also requested for a single digit loan for private schools to cushion the effect of the COVID19.
“We requested for support for schools that have existing loans, that they (FG) should liase on our behalf with the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN and CBN will liase with commercial banks and other financial institutions to ensure that they give them soft landing in terms of moratorium to repay and deduction in the interest loan.
The Federal government has approved that they will take over the payment of teachers salaries.
The proposal was sent to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and it was approved by the Federal Executive Council.
We are already talking to them to know the modalities for the disbursement”.
He however pointed out that it is only private schools registered under its Association that will benefit from the Federal government’s bailout.

As Magu’s Probe Continues, Buhari suspends 12 EFCC directors

As Magu’s Probe Continues, Buhari suspends 12 EFCC directors

The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, wrote the anti-graft agency’s acting chairman, Mohammed Umar, to direct the affected directors to proceed on suspension immediately.
The order comes over a week after the commission’s long-time acting chairman,
Ibrahim Magu , was arrested on suspicion of corrupt practices and insubordination.
Since he was arrested and detained on July 6, 2020, Magu has been facing a Presidential Panel questioning him about his stewardship of the anti-graft agency.
A source told The Punch that the panel requested the suspension of the EFCC directors to enable it carry out a thorough investigation into the activities of the commission, without undue interference.
Magu, a Commissioner of Police, has denied all allegations against him, and expressed his sadness at being treated like a “common criminal”.
He faces accusations of misappropriations of funds, and the illegal disposal of assets recovered from corruption cases.
Magu has been the EFCC’s acting chairman since 2015, with his appointment rejected twice by the Senate due to a damaging report written by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DSS report had accused him of sabotage, unauthorised removal of EFCC files, and acts unbecoming of a police officer.

Despite Rise in Madagascar Covid19 Cases, Rajoelina insists COVID Organics works

Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina insists Covid Organics works as virus cases, deaths soar in Madagascar
COVID-19 cases have exploded in Madagascar, with two lawmakers dying and at least 25 members of parliament and of the senate infected.
President Andry Rajoelina who made the announcement on TV still touted the island’s plant-based drink, the COVID-Organics as the best preventive medicine against the virus.
Madagascar has had 5,080 confirmed novel coronavirus cases since the first case was confirmed on the island in March,
The death toll is now 37, according the government data.
“One deputy died. A senator died. After the tests carried out on the deputies, 11 members of parliament were detected carrying the coronavirus.
“At the Senate, 14 people, senators and agents of Senate carry the coronavirus,” Rajoelina said during an appearance on a talk show on national television late on Sunday.
He did not say when the lawmakers died, and did not name them.
Rajoelina also said that he and his family had been taking “Covid Organics”, that he said is a “cure” for COVID-19.
The drink was launched in April, despite warnings from the World Health Organisation that its efficacy is unproven.
“It is true that I have been in contact with people likely to carry the coronavirus. I have even entered hospitals that care for patients with Covid-19. I’m fine,” he said.
“I don’t carry coronavirus at all. I have no symptoms. Thank God. I follow the directives that I have given myself.
“But above all, me and my loved ones, my wife and my children, we drink and we follow a treatment based on the Covid Organics concoction.”

Twitter feminism is mostly an association of heartbroken women who have failed multiple times at love. They push the all-men-are-scum agenda but deep down they crave affection from the opposite gender. Why not take some pointers from Pastor Adeboye and rest.

You can’t keep a 5 months relationship but you’re insulting pastor adeboye that’s knee deep in a 52 year marriage and telling him what he’s supposed to be doing in his home…

Imagine a 19-old girl angry about how a 72-year old woman is acting in her marriage that has lasted from 1967-now while making life easy for her and her husband ? It’s crazy right ?
That’s exactly why Pastor Adeboye is trending

Order partial reopening of schools, Reps tell Buhari

Order partial reopening of schools, Reps tell Buhari

The House of Representatives has called on the President, Muhammadu Buhari, to order a partial reopening of schools to allow pupils sit for the 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
The House made the call at the plenary on Tuesday following a unanimous adoption of a motion moved by a member, Nnolim Nnaji.
The Committee on Basic Education and Services had earlier on Friday faulted the decision by the Federal Government to suspend the plan to partially reopen schools for pupils in final classes to take external examinations.
The committee had particularly criticised the decision to disallow Nigerian pupils from sitting for WASSCE to be conducted by the West African Examination Council for the 2019/2020 academic session.
Schools at all levels have been shut since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had earlier in June said the Federal Government, in what it called “safe reopening of schools,” had approved the resumption of pupils in graduating classes, including Primary 6, Junior Secondary School 3 and the Senior Secondary School 3.
In approving the resumption of graduating classes, the government said water must be provided in schools for hand-washing and both pupils and teachers must wear face masks while observing social distancing.

“Dating a yahoo boy is dangerous”: Twitter Lady narrate her story

“Dating a yahoo boy is dangerous”: Twitter Lady narrate her story

A woman who escaped being used for money ritual by her yahoo yahoo boyfriend has shared her experience.
A Nigerian woman on Twitter, has shared her sad experience after getting into a relationship with a yahoo boy (fraudster), warning her fellow females against having a relationship with Yahoo boys.
The lady, Ameera Yusuf on Twitter narrated how she met a Yahoo boy who posed as a Real Estate developer and after spending time together, he asked her to accompany him to one of his properties in another state.
She revealed that it was on this journey that the said guy was going to use her for rituals but thanks to the interruption of some police officers, she was saved.
Read her narrative below,
Dating a yahoo boy is the most dangerous thing any girl should indulge in.
I met Richard in the banking hall and he looked all well dressed and spoke politely. We got connected and immediately we started spending time together.
I noticed he’s quite secretive, so I don’t let out questions so randomly. He told me he’s into Real Estate, I believed.
Last week, Richard told me to accompany him to Asaba to access a property. I was excited and of course I enjoyed being around him. A move I would regret.
We journeyed along with 2 other guys that he claimed are his friends but all through the journey they didn’t really communicate as normal guys(friends) would.
We arrived Asaba late at night but he insisted we go straight to the poverty because he doesn’t want to waste any time.
We started the journey into a dark and lonely road that was practically leading nowhere and I fell asleep.
Moments later I woke up and found myself tied to the ground with an old man ranting incantations with the full glare of Richard and the other guys.
I was in shock and had series of thoughts in a moment but didn’t have a clue how it was all gonna end.
But I somehow was prepared for death because I noticed the knives, candles and buckets around.
I knew immediately that I had brought myself to my unfortunate end.
This continued for a good amount of time as I was slowly losing consciousness.
They washed my feet and Richard drank the water.
I was being striped naked while we all heard some rounds of gunshots not too far away.
They all ran into the dark and I was left on the ground.
Kindly it happened that the Police chased after some robbers to their hideout within same vicinity and had the gun exchange.
I was found, I narrated my ordeal and was rescued. Richard has since not been found and nobody has set eyes on him since then
My advice to young girl of this generation. I’m a good example and lucky to narrate my story myself, not many do.
A guy might look and sound gentle but deep down he could be the devil himself.
Watch and pray.
