He was arrested at the Wuse II office of the DSS on Monday afternoon and is now undergoing interrogation at the DSS Headquarters In Aso Drive.
“Magu has fostered a beneficial relationship with Mohammed who by his confession approaches clients for possible exploitation, favours and associated returns,” the DSS report said.
Magu is yet to be confirmed as the substantive chairman of the EFCC despite occupying the position in acting capacity for many years.
“Investigations show that the acting EFCC chairman regularly embarked on official and private trips through a private jet owned by Mohammed.
“In one of such trips, Magu flew to Maiduguri alongside Mohammed with a bank MD who was being investigated by the EFCC over complicity in funds allegedly stolen by the immediate past petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
CMM confirmed from PUNCH, “Magu is currently occupying a residence rented for N40m at N20m per annum and this accommodation was not paid [for] from the commission’s finances, but by one Umar Mohammed, air commodore retired, a questionable businessman who has subsequently been arrested by the secret service.
“For the furnishing of the residence, Magu enlisted the Federal Capital Development Authority to award a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by the same Mohammed, to furnish the residence at the cost of N43m.
“Furthermore, the EFCC boss has so far maintained a high-profile lifestyle.
This is exemplified by his preference for first-class air travels On 24 June, 2016, he flew Emirate airlines first-class to Saudi Arabia to perform lesser hajj at the cost of N2.9m.
This is in spite of Mr President’s directive to all public servants to fly economy class.

“Only one person per household is allowed to go out into the street between 6:00 am (0400 GMT) and 12:00 pm (1000 GMT),” said the statement.

Kanye West declares he will run for US president in 2020

Kanye West seemingly announced that he intends to run for president of the United States in the upcoming 2020 election, tweeting on the Fourth of July, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.” Elon Musk, noted color-coordinating friend of West, tweeted in response, “You have my full support!” It is entirely unclear if West is joking or not, but his past statements regarding a possible presidential bid indicate that he might be partially serious. Back in 2015 at the MTV VMAs, of course, West announced that he would be running for president in 2020, and last November, during a speech at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, he announced he would be running in 2024. When the audience laughed at his announcement, West said, “What y’all laughing at? We would create so many jobs! I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk.” It seems that West may have switched back to running, and considering his nebulous relationship with the current president, perhaps he’ll seek an endorsement from an old friend of his. Below is the tweet from the Black American…

2020VISION

July 5, 2020

The post was accompanied by a stars and stripes flag, an exclamation mark and “#2020VISION”. His wife, Kim Kardashian West, replied to the tweet with an American flag.
With just four months to go before polling day on 3 November, it was not clear whether West’s tweet would have been more fitting on April Fools’ day than American Independence Day.

“We are not going to spend the number hours as it used to be. We are considering a little time of about three to four hours in school. This is to ensure that there is no room for children to go on break and play around the premises.
